Galaxy’s Edge Reservations Off to a Rocky Start
Today I received word of my upcoming Galaxy’s Edge Reservation for my visit to Disneyland in June. I’m staying at the Paradise Pier hotel, and that entitles me a complimentary visit, which will be four hours in length. The problem is that not only was the date all wrong for my visit (one day too early), my hotel reservations was also wrong (also one day too early). Turns out after looking into it, there has been a system error, and all reservations on the system for Galaxy’s Edge have been messed up. They’ve promised that it’s being fixed.
Here’s what the follow up memo looked like:
They have also announced that details for how to make reservations will be available on the Disney Parks Blog and Disneyland.com on May 2nd at 8 a.m. Pacific Time. A Disney account is needed to register for a reservation, so those wanting to make a reservation need to create a registration prior to 10 a.m. Pacific on that same day.
If you’re not aware, the first month of operations for Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge between May 31st and June 23rd requires having a reservation. You will receive a complimentary reservation if you stay at one of the three Disneyland Resort hotels. Otherwise, those reservations are subject to availability.
The opening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be different than this opening, and does not affect that park and those attending.
