All New WDW Bus Look & More

This month, Walt Disney World buses are taking on a new look, adorned with the sensational six: Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto. From the red and yellow colors of Mickey’s attire, to the iconic Minnie polka dots and the pastel hues of Daisy, you will now arrive at your favorite destinations in full Disney style.

Perhaps even more exciting is that for some Walt Disney World buses they will also have USB charging ports conveniently located between seats throughout, so guests can re-charge between parks and hotels. Check the video out to see more.

This is all part of a larger effort Disney is making to transform the internal transportation experience. One source told me that Disney has actually tried creating what was called a “party bus–Disney style”. Apparently, this got really high reviews. But I haven’t seen anything come of it in terms of announcements. Perhaps in a D23 event.

In other transportation news, Disney reported last month that over a million people have taken advantage of the new Minnie Vans to move from place to place on property. Also, a slightly new look and feel is coming out on the monorails, beginning with Silver. You can see that below.

There is still much more work that needs to be done. Monorails, in particular, have had a bad rap in recent years. There was word that the theater project off of Main Street U.S.A. was cancelled because of an effort to overhaul the monorails. But again, no official word. There was also considerable discussion about making them driver less. Again, no word. Perhaps at D23.

If you do want to see what has had the official word at Disney, check out our post of over 60 announcements for changes on property. We also have another post of over 60 new attractions and offerings completed in just the last two years. The amount of stuff happening at Disney is stunning. There is quite a bit on its way. And perhaps more to be announced–again at D23.
