Disneyland

The original mansion has a one-of-a-kind antebellum look. It is a classic look for a classic attraction.

What really inspired me was this long-playing album from Disneyland Records. I played it again and again and again and again…

Another great piece of animation was the Wonderful World of Disney television show starring Kurt Russell and the Osmonds.

A great moment to watch on TV was when Mike Douglas did his TV show for an entire week at Walt Disney World. He sang with Phyllis Diller in front of the Haunted Mansion

A great addition to the Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom is the interactive queue. It’s a guest favorite!

Also, Momento Mori next door reminds us that there may be 999 souvenirs, but there’s room for one more.

Tokyo Disneyland

Tokyo Disneyland pretty much took the entire blueprint of the Magic Kingdom version and planted it in Fantasyland.

Why Fantasyland? Because everyone wants to see the Haunted Mansion when riding Dumbo the Flying Elephant. Not!

What Tokyo’s version does offer is a perfect version of the basics. Love these umbrellas!

Wonder what Haunted Mansion Holiday would look like when Magic Kingdom’s version gets a makeover? You find it here in Tokyo.

Phantom Manor, Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris has its version in Frontierland. It too has a very distinct exterior, and much of the interior is changed as well. Still, it follows a parallel format.

What I love are the headstones at the exit. Truly unique, and they tell the story of this frontier town.

I love the cemetery so much I took images of it and forgot to get a really good image of the building’s exterior. Time to return to Paris!

Mystic Manor, Hong Kong Disneyland

And now for an entirely different take on a haunted house. Hong Kong Disneyland offers Mystic Manor. It is truly different.

I offer you a video of this entire attraction. It’s so worthy of a visit to Hong Kong. It is usually one of the top 5 attractions people list world-wide, and in many cases, the number 1.

Are There 999 Haunts?

Check out our big article we’ve added that looks carefully at how many haunts actually inhabit the Haunted Mansion. It’s an inventory of the realm of the supernatural.

Also, at DisneyatWork, we have an interesting article that talks about what Haunts Mansion, Men in Black and Tower of Terror have in common. Check it out!
