Celebrate Happy Moments in Disneyland’s 70th

As I prepared for this podcast all of the joy and happy moments of our stay during Disneyland’s 70th anniversary just flooded over me. This is my opportunity to Celebrate Happy with you. Indeed I would say it was one of the most wonderful and memorable trips our family had–even though it was at time intense given all that we wanted to see, do and perhaps eat. While Disneyland’s 70th anniversary will be accented by seasonal events such as Halloween and Christmas, know that this event is going on through the summer of 2026. I want to know that every one of you listening out there will visit, and my duty here in this podcast is to get you excited to do so. When we’re through with this podcast, you’ll see that this should have been the anniversary celebration Walt Disney World had. So join us as we celebrate truly happy moments in Disneyland’s 70th anniversary.

Anniversary Decor

Beginning in the promenade we are greeted by this Imagineer Wally Crump-style Tower of the Four Winds but with a castle. Music plays songs old and new from the parks and it really feels like a celebration.

You see a color palette of pinks, blues, purples and deep yellows, and the permeate everything from signage to bunting to flowers.

Everywhere you go you have instagrammable opportunities to experience the magic.

And yes, they did a great job on the castle without ruining it.

And while not as many touches are found in Disney California Adventure, you still see that the party continues there as well.

Interactive Souvenir Delights–Sort of…

This $59.99 plus tax gives you a chance to unlock magic in each of the lands of Disneyland. It then allows you at the end to unlock the key for one of nine mystery pins.

A little more affordable is the MagicBand+ that allows you to tap into five different locations throughout the park. It retails I believe at $34.99 plus tax.

Better Together: A Pixar Celebration

Better Together: A Pixar Celebration was by far the most surprisingly fun part of the daytime entertainment. Some of the newer floats to include Luca, Soul, & Turning Red really make it feel more like a true parade. But what made it so was the dance-off at the end of the parade, which can only be seen at the end of the parade route–which in this case was near Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout. You have to say that this is one energetic group of dancers.

Note that holidays means some of these offerings may be missing temporarily between now and when the celebration ends at the end of summer 2026. But holiday offerings are amazing in and of themselves, and are so worth seeing.
