Walt Disney World Raises Annual Pass Ticket Prices
Overnight, Disney has changed its pricing for annual passes. Prices have gone up as much as $225 for the out of state Platinum Plus pass. The price increases are comparable to steep annual pass price increases that occurred at Disneyland shortly before Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge opened. Below is a listing of prices old and new:
Out of State: Old and New Prices
Platinum Plus | $994 | $1219 |
Platinum | $894 | $1119 |
Florida Residents and DVC Members: Old and New Prices
Disney Platinum Pass | $849 | $999 |
Disney Platinum Pass | $749 | $899 |
Disney Gold Pass | $609 | $699 |
Disney Silver Pass | $479 | $519 |
Disney Florida Resident Theme Park Select Pass | $439 | $439 |
Disney Weekday Select Pass | $319 | $349 |
Epcot After 4 Annual Pass | $289 | $309 |
Water Parks Annual Pass | $139 | $139 |
Water Parks After 2 Annual Pass | $89 | $89 |
Disney Premier Pass
Premier Annual Pass | $1,949.00 | $2,099 |
With the exception of the water parks, everything has changed dramatically. We’ll discuss its implications in a new post shortly, but know that Disney wants you to pay a premium if you want to be among the first to attend Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge when it opens at Disney’s Hollywood Studios this Fall. Even pass holder previews, announced yesterday, are only for the top tiers of pass holders, namely Premier, Platinum and Platinum Plus.
More commentary to come…
