D23 Announcements

Wow, there were so many announcements. Not that they were new things, but they were new details about the things that were coming. For a complete list, definitely check out the Total D23 Disney Park Announcements.

Galaxy’s Edge Opens!

Strategies for Visiting

Here are some quick tips for visiting Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

• If you can, stay on property, and visit the park this Fall when guests have an option to visit early in the morning.
• Otherwise, arrive as soon as you can, and enter the virtual queue. Do this once you enter the park.
• If you’re a night owl instead of an early bird, night time is the best time to visit Galaxy’s Edge. Lines usually drop off at this time.
• If you make an early reservation for visiting Oga’s Cantina, Savi’s Lightsaber Workshop or the Droid Depot, you can enter whenever your reservation is available.
• FastPasses are not currently available for Star Wars attractions in Galaxy’s Edge, but they are a great way to spend the time, while you are waiting for a virtual queue.
• Use Mobile Ordering if and when possible.
• Guests with Special Needs when their return time occurs.
• Look for Guest Experience Team Members in blue shirts. They can support you with help and answering questions. They can be found at
  • Hollywood Boulevard
  • Echo Lake
  • Sunset Boulevard
  • Toy Story Land
  • Galaxy’s Edge
