Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point Review & Other Disney Cruise Line News
I had the great opportunity to meet up with David Zanolla of Zanolla Travel to chat about his recent visit to Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. This Disney Cruise destination offers a new stop for guests looking for a catered Disney experience. We’ll discuss the beaches, activities, entertainment as well as the food & beverage. We’ll also take time to talk about a lot of new announcements by Disney Cruise Line to include four new ships, another new ship in collaboration with Oriental Land Company, the Disney Treasure coming out this year, the Disney Destiny now announced for November 20th of 2025, and the Disney Adventure mega ship, which sails out of Singapore also somewhere in 2025. And then there is the announcement in D23 of four new additional ships. Lots to talk about in this Disney Insights podcast as we set sail with the Disney Cruise Line.

• San Fransokyo Street will be inspired by the eclectic world of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Big Hero 6.” It will be a family entertainment area “pulsing with the energy and atmosphere of a vibrant street market,” Disney said. There will be interactive games and activities, shops and cinemas.
• Disney called Wayfinder Bay “an open-air oasis under the sun, where relaxation and exclusive entertainment await.” The poolside retreat will reflect the Pacific Islands-inspired artistry of “Moana.”
• Town Square will be a celebration of Disney royals, with shops, lounges, cafes, restaurants and entertainment venues inspired by “Tangled,” “Cinderella,” “Frozen,” “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” and “The Princess and the Frog.”
• Marvel Landing will feature superhero-themed attractions and experiences.
• Toy Story Place will be an “interactive play land with themed food venues and water play areas, where the world of Pixar’s Toy Story movies and shorts springs to life in surprising and inventive ways,” Disney said.
More Ships to Come
Announced at D23 was that four ships will be joining Disney Cruise Line’s ever-growing roster of award-winning ships sailing around the world. These new ships will arrive between 2027 and 2031. Five ships are currently in the fleet, with four others already in the works. These new, four additional ships will bring the fleet to a total of 13. The ship names, designs, and exciting itineraries are still in development.
While this will provide longer downtimes for ships as they rotate in and out of assignment, there is no evidence that any of the original ships will be removed or sold from the fleet.
