At the heart of Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is just that—magic! Guests visit because they want to experience something you can’t quite experience in any other way. And truly the Magic Kingdom delivers that!

All that said, Magic Kingdom is also the most visited theme park in the entire world! More than 20 million people visit it each year, and with its 50th anniversary coming in 2021, those numbers will continue to increase. So while it isn’t entirely impossible to stumble onto that magic simply by making a casual visit, it can be more difficult to find—especially if you haven’t done a little planning.

Yes, there are great rides, but they come with lines. Yes, there are great shows and attractions, but you need to be in the right time and the right place to enjoy them. Yes, there are great dining opportunities—but you need to know where to find them. So it really is worth taking time to plan your visit, to make sure that you are getting the best value possible.
