Disney California Adventure
Disney California Adventure opened on February 8, 2001 and is where the stories we’ve all come to love in the Disney films come to life. Guests to the park will start by taking a walk down Buena Vista Street, inspired by Walt Disney’s arrival in California as a young man. You’ll also get to experience such attractions as Grizzly River Run, Soarin’ Around the World, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT, and The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure. If ever a park were in a state of becoming, it would be this park. When it opened it was a disappointment to fans that were raised on perhaps the greatest theme park of them all, Disneyland. Indeed, one of Disney’s pioneering Imagineers was quoted as saying: “I liked it better when it was a parking lot.”
