Critter Country

Critter Country is separated from Frontierland by New Orleans Square. The two are tied together by the Rivers of America.. In a way, they are bookends to the river. Critter Country offers one major attraction–Splash Mountain, a flume ride.

There are many animatronic characters who make this a treat to enjoy. It’s more than a flume ride. And it ends with a glorious scene where everyone sings Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah. Here’s a clip:

Lesser attractions also exist. In the backwoods of Critter Country lies The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. It unfortunately replaced The Country Bear Jamboree. But the experience through the Hundred Acre Wood is more beautifully displayed than its Florida counterpart. Here is a ride through of that attraction:

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

Open seasonally are the Davey Crockett’s Explorer Canoes.  Guests can work together to paddle these canoes through the Rivers of America, experiencing an interesting vantage point of the park. This is a memorable experience that you will want to do with those you love. It may seem like a simple boat ride, but you work in unison with others to get around Tom Sawyer Island.

Next to Winnie the Pooh is the Hungry Bear Restaurant. It’s hamburger fare, where you can enjoy a quiet corner in the park, while feeling that you’ve been transported to another place and time.
