2 Big Surprise D23 Announcements–And The Real Truth About Villains Land!
The Parks & Experiences D23 presentation at the Honda Center has concluded and with it came two big pieces of news in what was literally the last two minutes of the entire program. Disneyland fans rejoice with the fantastic news that Tomorrowland is finally going to get some serious TLC as it gets set to be remodeled in time for Disneyland’s 75th anniversary in four years. Meanwhile, Walt Disney World fans fave finally received huge notice that their beloved Journey Into Imagination with Figment and Dreamfinder will be completely revamped to something more like the original attraction. And then did we mention Villains Land? Yes, confirmation was given to the two E-ticket attractions that will headline this corner of the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. So join us as we highlight the crazy details from this year’s D23 expo.

At D23 there were two final announcements made in the Parks & Experiences presentation at the Honda Center. Really, they are the only significant announcements because much of everything else was details (and impressive details) of what has been previously announced. One of these announcements–intended for Disneyland fans–tied back to Walt’s legacy. The other announcement–a big one for Walt Disney World fans–was carried out tongue in cheek with Neil Patrick Harris.
But these two announcements shared a very important thing in common. It was clear that these were responses to the two things that guests and fans wanted most. And in his new role of heading Disney Parks & Experiences Thomas Mazloum stated: “We know. We know how important this is to you. We heard you, and this is one more way we are putting you, all of you, all of you in the center of everything we do.”

How do you know what your customers want? Are you putting customers in the center of everything you do? And are you really intent on delivering to what they want? At the end of the day, that’s what you have to provide.
Further detail of what this all means can be found in my most recent media where I chronicle my experience attending this event.
